Welcome to the webpage for the Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy.
I am honoured to have taken over as Principal of this institution in February 2013 and to have guided the Academy during this exciting period of its growth.
OSCA is undoubtedly a growing academy, and the 2017–18 academic year has been jam-packed with successes.
At OSCA, our goal is straightforward.
We think that education should be about keeping doors open for our kids.
The class of 2018–19 is our brightest and finest one yet, and we anticipate another year of record-breaking GCSE scores!
Our students' dedication to "striving for greatness" is demonstrated by the fact that we have the highest student attendance rates of any secondary school in the entire borough.
We have increased the bar for what is expected of existing students because we are not complacent.
Our new year 7 cohort joined us in September as our brightest year group ever (as, indeed, every successive cohort has grown in ability and aspiration each year), and OSCA is now full and over-subscribed for the fifth consecutive year, with a sizeable waiting list for places.
Finally, over the past few years, we have completed a significant $12 million investment programme that has given us superb new facilities.
Together, we will make sure that our Academy remains a hub of innovation and excellence for our students, faculty, and the entire neighbourhood.
