Students at Olive AP Academy Thurrock (OA-Th) have the opportunity to advance their education. All of our students are expected to succeed academically, socially, and morally. We are a "family" with high expectations for each and every person in our neighbourhood, and respect is at the core of all we do. After receiving a "Good" rating from Ofsted in December 2018, it is an exciting time for OA-Th. With our amazing new building and facilities, I am sure we can do great things. I want OA-Th to be an integral part of the neighbourhood; an inclusive school that will enable kids to acquire the skills they need to enjoy learning and offer our students the self-assurance and resiliency they need to succeed. At OA-Th, we are convinced that every student has the ability to realise their potential and is encouraged to strive to be the best version of themselves in all area of their lives. They are encouraged to think back on their experiences to do better and to be determined to build the resilience they will need as they get ready for adult life. Our ethos of creativity, originality, and mastery of the fundamentals—reading, writing, communicating, and mathematics—is supported by our comprehensive and balanced curriculum.
