A warm welcome and thank you for visiting St Clere's School website. 'Persequi Optima' (the pursuit of excellence) is our motto and is at the heart of everything we do here along with the Co-operative values. We are an extremely high achieving, oversubscribed school with around 1200 students from a variety of areas across Thurrock. We are a popular choice for families both local and further afield because we have staff who teach with great energy and expertise in an environment that has exceptional facilities. Our teachers promote and model creativity and individuality which enthuses and engages our students. Our reputation is one of very high academic standards and outstanding pupil conduct. We encourage all our students to strive for success. Our school is set on the edge of Stanford-le-Hope, a short distance from the A13 and we are surrounded by a large expanse of playing fields which enable our students to enjoy a vast array of sports. We have a stunning range of facilities including a state of the art Drama studio, Apple-Mac facilities, fully refurbished Science labs, Sports Pavilion, a 3G floodlit all-weather pitch, exceptionally well-stocked Library with research facilities and quiet study space. In addition, we have high specification classrooms with up-to-date ICT resources which enhance the teaching for all students and provide a comfortable environment in which to learn. Our specialisms are Science and Sport but you will see from our outstanding GCSE results and Performance Table data that, for another consecutive year, our results are significantly above the national average and remain some of the top in the borough.
