At TPS, we work to develop the "whole child" so that they can reach their full academic, personal, social, emotional, and spiritual potential and grow into well-rounded, self-assured adults who are lifelong learners and confident citizens. We achieve this by creating a warm, family-like environment within our inclusive school and by offering a wide range of options throughout these formative years, from which they may draw positively in the future when presented with decisions. These opportunities are made possible by our extensive creative curriculum, enrichment clubs that accept all students, overnight educational visits for more adventurous activities, as well as the chance to visit London and other foreign countries thanks to our connections with partner schools abroad. Having a Hearing Support Base has made it possible for us to teach British Sign Language to all children, giving them access to a valuable ability. We make an effort to exhibit respect, accountability, and tenacity. For exhibiting these qualities at school, kids are recognised daily with Bear Points or by being named the class's Bear of the Day. A youngster can be nominated as the Bear of the Week and wear a golden tie during a weekly assembly that recognises achievement. We take great pride in receiving the Rights Respecting School Award from UNICEF. This indicates that our ethos or culture has been acknowledged as incorporating children's human rights. Each student signs a class charter affirming their commitment to upholding the rights of children at all times after learning about the 54 articles that make up the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We have met the requirements for Level 1 and anticipate starting the process for Level 2, UNICEF's highest honour, soon.
