From the School
Swanshurst is a very popular, overcrowded school for females in grades 11 through 19. We have outstanding students and our aim is to provide an outstanding education for each and every one of them so that every student develops a thirst for knowledge and makes the very best progress possible. We have extensive knowledge of and understanding of the learning requirements of girls because we are a girls' school. We have the highest aspirations for all our students and support them to achieve the highest level of academic success whilst offering a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities. Our staff are committed to supporting the well-being of all our students - we care deeply about them and believe that parents have a very important role to play in their children's education. We strongly promote close communication between the home and the school. Our girls are safe, happy, enquiring young people who enjoy their learning and relish new opportunities. We have a robust, accepting, multiracial intake that captures Birmingham's lively diversity. Our students understand the importance of the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith. We are really proud of our school and our children in particular.
