With our school name honouring one of Dukinfield's heroes, we are a school at the centre of our neighbourhood.
Local educator and reformer Joseph Rayner Stephens worked for and promoted the rights of the working class in the Dukinfield region throughout the 19th century.
We are a diverse 11–16 school that is a member of the Stamford Park Trust network of institutions.
At Rayner Stephens, students are urged to own ownership of their education and behaviour.
I'd like to welcome you to Rayner Stephens High School (Stamford Park Trust) on behalf of the faculty and students.
At Rayner Stephens, academic courses are clearly prioritised, with a focus on developing independent learners and literacy and numeracy abilities in particular.
Being a part of our school and the Stamford Park Trust at this time is fantastic.
In January 2021, Ashton Sixth Form College's Multi-Academy Trust, Stamford Park Trust, welcomed Rayner Stephens High School.
As we start to realise the advantages of an all-encompassing approach to 11–18 education in Tameside, we are excited by the potential this connection will present for the Rayner Stephens pupils.
Students at the school will profit from excellent teaching and learning, first-rate pastoral care, and a tight connection with Ashton Sixth Form College, among other things.
Every student, from year 7 to year 11, will have access to exceptional and one-of-a-kind possibilities to collaborate with Ashton Sixth Form and its university partners to support them in realising their goals and potential.
