Established in 1963, St Damian's is a Roman Catholic 11 16 Mixed Comprehensive College situated on the edge of Ashton-under-Lyne, bordering on neighbouring hills and fields. The college's brand-new, purpose-built structure, which opened in May 2011, provides an impressive array of facilities. In our new 'state of the art' building and facilities include: fully equipped science labs, ICT rooms, classrooms, drama studio, music and practice rooms, dance studio, sports hall and outside multi games area (MUGA), floods lights astro- turf area, and an extensive sports field. The whole school benefits from wi-fi coverage which means that each student has the opportunity to use individual netbooks or computers in every classroom and outside areas.
