We are an 11–19 Academy in the centre of the thriving and aspiring Soho Ward, a neighbourhood with a strong sense of its own history and culture.
We were designated "Outstanding" by Ofsted in 2013 and again in 2015.
More importantly, there is a high demand for school and Sixth Form spaces because the surrounding community recognises the significance of our work.
The demand for our services is consistently great, and I am incredibly proud of the fantastic reputation we have both locally and nationally.
Handsworth is unique because of its rich history and diversity.
To give us its story, face its challenges with optimism, pride, and resilience, and to sculpt an ambitious future, it's children need nurturing and positive role models.
Instead, we take satisfaction in being able to offer Handsworth with morally upright people who have boundless potential.
We create a neighbourhood based on a core of wholesome connections that we cherish and uphold.
A well designed programme is used to impart our fundamental principles of leadership, organisation, resilience, initiative, and communication to all students and staff since we also think that better levels of accomplishment are supported by strong character.
Our attitudes are never determined by our postcode thanks to our meticulous attention to detail and unrelenting desire to hold each other accountable.
Our commitment to providing the best possible education goes outside of the classroom and includes all staff members.
We are all educators of young people.
