Being the head teacher of this exceptional school, which fosters the development of our students into self-sufficient, well-rounded adults who want to make a difference in the world, is an honour. Our committed teaching and support staff push and encourage our students to reach their goals as they share our high expectations for their futures. We provide a solid family ethos and a safe environment where our young people can thrive and achieve great things. Despite the fact that we are an 11-year-old selective school, we welcome students from a variety of ethnic origins and geographic locations, and we value the diversity that this provides to our community. The school's sixth form, which is thriving, is integral to it, and its students significantly enhance the energy of school life. Many different schools, including Crossley Heath, have sent students to do their GCSEs. These students make up our sixth form community. Since the founding of the first Heath Grammar Institution in 1585, our school has a long and rich history. The Crossley brothers established a "Orphan Home and School for Boys and Girls" in 1861, afterwards known as "Crossley and Porter School," which is when the current school building was constructed. We take great pride in our magnificent structure, which is enhanced by contemporary extensions and offers a distinctive and engaging learning environment. I sincerely hope you would look around our website more to learn more about the full and active life we have here at Crossley Heath. Please get in touch if you have any inquiries or want to learn more about us.
