From the Woodbrook Vale School
I'm thrilled to present myself as the new Headteacher at Woodbrook Vale School. My name is Rachael Fraser.
I have worked in Somerset for the past 18 years in a variety of positions, including headteacher, deputy head, and county consultant for English for 6 years.
I was drawn to Woodbrook Vale School by the philosophy when I decided to move back to the East Midlands, where I had attended school.
The hard work, excitement, and great growth made by Woodbrook Vale students in a variety of courses, including math and English, are already well known.
As the new Headteacher, I intend to further encourage this sense of social responsibility so that pupils feel like they can change the world. Some students are already beginning to make their impact in the larger community.
I am eager to foster and institutionalise student leadership because I believe Woodbrook Vale School will someday produce future prime ministers and Nobel laureates.
As a result of the outstanding work done by the outgoing Head Mr. Gary Peat, I will work tirelessly to further establish the school's ethos, protect the institution's distinctiveness, and give the students the opportunity to have memorable experiences that will change their lives and that they will look back on with great fondness and happiness as they mature into adulthood.
We will keep holding our pupils to a high standard in terms of their work ethic and attire.
