Welcome back to the University of Birmingham School's newest academic year.
We extend a warm welcome to our returning students and students, as well as to the new members of the "Class of 2026," including the families and students of Year 7 and the incoming Year 12 students beginning their two years of postsecondary education with us.
Our first group of Year 11 students, who will be continuing and finishing their GCSE adventure, will also have a thrilling year.
It gives me great pleasure to join students and coworkers in honouring the accomplishments of our 2019 sixth form graduates.
Our former Year 13 students put in a lot of effort to achieve great A level results, with a pass rate of 98.2% and 50.5% of passes being awarded at grades A*–B.
Our sixth form achieved higher standards of performance in 2018–19 across a variety of courses, and when this information is released in due course, we expect noticeably improved "value added progress."
All of our students have advanced to the next stage of their lives because to the high expectations set by our team, with 85% of them being admitted to their top-choice institutions throughout the nation.
On our Sixth Form Twitter account, a small selection of case studies demonstrating the variety of successes can be discovered.
Our Year 12 students all gained something from their first day of orientation on campus.
Additionally, early in the term, school administrators received a group of Frankfurt-based foreign colleagues interested in our goals, ethos, and model for delivering a well-rounded, high-quality education to all students.
We look forward to charting a year ahead of excellent standards and accomplishments through our primary focus on character education, a commitment to producing engaged young scholars, and cementing the high expectations we have of all members of our school community.
