A school supported by Roman Catholic volunteers is St. George & St. Martins Catholic Academy. It provides childcare for kids between the ages of 3 and 11 years in the parish of Birches Head and Sacred Heart, Hanley. A long-standing parish school, the school has two main buildings right next to the church. There are currently 241 students enrolled in the one-form entry school, including a 30-seat nursery. The Key Stage 1/Foundation Stage is housed in a 1993-built structure. The offices, a community area, a nursery, reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are all located there. The Key Stage 2 building, constructed in 1933, houses classrooms for grades 3 through 6, a staff room, an ICT suite, a library, and a school hall. A child's scholastic development depends heavily on parental engagement, encouragement, and support. In order to give your kid the best educational chances to grow into a mature Christian, we strive to create a safe, loving, inclusive, and Catholic atmosphere.
