From the Pegasus Academy
Since the summer 2018 term, I have served as Pegasus Academy's principal, a position I am incredibly proud of. Our students are a credit to their community, and our staff members are energised and driven. Everyone in the school seems to agree that we are making significant improvement. We received a higher grade during an Ofsted inspection in June 2019 because "senior leaders have executed a clear vision with passion and energy" and "Pupils are happy, and proud of their school," according to the report. Eight months earlier, during an interim inspection, Ofsted noted improvements in Pegasus Academy's GCSE scores, attendance, behaviour, and academic achievement across all year groups. This time, Ofsted made a point of praising the higher calibre of instruction, particularly in English. Additionally, they acknowledged advancements in modern foreign languages, science, history, geography, music, and dance. The story will be finished by a new team and a renovated Mathematics building, allowing the entire school to advance together.
