Welcome to the webpage for Rosewood School.
I've worked at Rosewood for more than twenty years, and throughout that time, I've seen many changes in education, some beneficial and some less so.
What I can say, though, is that Rosewood has developed into the outstanding institution it is today.
We're expanding, and I have no doubt that the school will thrive even 20 years from now, long after I'm gone, because we have a clear vision for the future that is based on a dedication to providing the greatest education possible for every single one of our students.
Between fifth and eleventh grade, boys attend Rosewood, a SEMH school.
Even after all the changes throughout the years, SEMH provision is still in the rebuilding business.
Many of our kids have low self-esteem, which makes them distrustful of the school system.
We continually try to tell our parents that Rosewood is a fresh start and that every day is a new day because many of our parents have struggled to be involved in their child's education.
Many of the children who attend Rosewood are dealing with mental health problems, which we assist them in understanding and ensure they receive the proper support and care for.
I think our boys have the same right to an education as any other student in any institution.
Our boys will have had the chance to study for at least nine GCSEs by the end of Key Stage 4.
At Rosewood, we take safety very seriously.
We have excellent safeguarding practises and a team that is highly qualified and dedicated to ensuring the safety of every child.
We want to assist the many of our kids who have experienced suffering in the past in overcoming those challenges and looking forward with hope.
