From the Park Street CofE Primary School
The Park Street Church of England Primary School in the centre of Cambridge extends a hearty welcome. 120 students from Reception to Year 6 attend our school. We think that every child can bring something special to our school community, and our dedicated staff team is dedicated to helping them reach their full potential and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. We would love to share more of the life of Park Street with you here, whether you are brand-new to the school, considering enrolling, or have been a part of our community for years. The last nineteen years of my career have been spent exclusively at tiny schools. In Cornwall, I most recently served as Head of School for two small schools with a combined enrollment of 40 students, one of which is a Church of England school, for a group of 14 primary schools. However, through taking on the role of County moderator for English and cooperating with partner schools, I have gained understanding of a range of educational environments and teaching strategies. I worked in stage management before being involved in teaching, first at the English National Opera and then at Opera North, where I eventually met my husband. I studied music, drama, and dance at the University of Birmingham, and I've had a lifetime passion for the performing arts that I want to share with kids by creating shows. In addition, I enjoy participating in choirs, attending services at my local church, sailing, swimming, and walking. I am eager to expand on these aspects of my life in Cambridge.
