From the Newfield Secondary School
Providing high quality education in the classroom and through a variety of extracurricular activities, Newfield School is a contented, thriving, and quickly improving institution.
We attribute much of our success to being an inclusive school at the centre of the community we serve, and we are quite proud of our recent quick improvement.
We have great expectations for each and every one of our students, and no matter where they begin, we want to better their chances in life.
Students are encouraged to excel in all facets of learning, inside and outside the classroom.
Along with King Ecgbert School, Valley Park Primary, Nether Edge Primary, Totley Primary, and the recently sponsored Mercia School, Newfield School is a member of the Mercia Learning Trust.
One advantage of our cooperation is that all Newfield students are assured a spot in King Ecgbert's sixth form, if they so choose, as long as they satisfy the prerequisites for the programmes they want to enrol in.
Achievement is mostly dependent on good behaviour, hard effort, student participation, and a genuine desire to learn and advance, as noted in our most recent Ofsted Report.
In March 2017, Newfield School received a "Good" rating on all significant evaluations.
