From the Newark Hill Academy
At the Newark Hill Academy, we make a point of fostering optimistic attitudes, self-directed learning, a sense of accomplishment, and pride in all that we do. Our kids show respect for the individuals they encounter, their immediate surroundings, and the global community. The academy works to develop kind, considerate people who will contribute to our community and beyond. They are aware of and considerate of everyone's differences, convictions, and needs. Students at Newark Hill Academy are motivated learners who respect others, listen to others, and ask questions. They strive to perform their best job, take joy in it, and exhibit good learning habits. Our students are resilient enough to keep going even when things are difficult and have the courage to try new things. They are eager to build on their mistakes to gain deeper insight because they view mistakes as learning opportunities rather than failures. Together with the kids, the entire staff models our beliefs. The environment for learning and caring for others is well-organized and friendly in classrooms. Utilizing technology, we help students gain skills that will prepare them for life both inside and outside of the classroom. Students are heard, treated fairly, and with respect. Children are challenged to realise their full potential and their educational and social growth is made relevant to them, putting a priority on their wellbeing. There are several chances for child-led learning, which encourages them to participate actively in their education. Adults at our academy are dedicated to lifelong learning and aren't afraid to experiment with novel and innovative teaching techniques. All staff are committed to enriching learning not just within the classrooms, but also through creative use of our academy grounds and the local environment, extra-curricular provision, special events, educational visits and through links with home.
