Our Goal Moorfield Primary School aims to be a safe & happy place where children, staff, parents & governors all work together to give every child the best possible education for life "we will be the best school we can possibly be". We are one of the schools using restorative practises in Stockport. A solution-based coaching method called restorative approaches was born out of restorative justice. The fundamental premise of restorative practices is that people are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive changes when those in positions of authority do things with them, rather than to them or for them. For instance, it has been demonstrated that the implementation of restorative practises in schools improves the overall learning environment and consistently lowers disruptive behaviour, bullying, violence, and dangerous behaviour. It encourages the development of a joyful workplace culture, which in turn improves efficient learning and emotional health. We Stand For 1. To value every child and inspire them to take care of one another, learn together, and watch out for one another. 2 For every kid to respect and care for both the surroundings around our school and the larger world. 3 To establish an environment that is nurturing, challenging, stimulating, and safe so that each child can reach their greatest potential. 4 To give the entire school community the chance to flourish on all fronts—emotionally, socially, academically, spiritually, culturally, and creatively. 5 To encourage each child's sense of self-worth by giving them the tools they need to grow intellectually, independently, and responsibly.
