From the Leeds Arts University
As the only specialised arts institution in the North of England, Leeds Arts University offers its students a small, close-knit community and a stimulating environment where everything is conceivable. We think this is the ideal setting for artists, designers, musicians, and filmmakers to develop. Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, Damien Hirst, Danny Sangra, and Omar Kashoura studied here more recently, and we have a solid reputation to back us up. We do not, however, tolerate complacency. We put a lot of effort into maintaining our position as a preeminent centre for arts education, selecting from among the best international talent to create some of the most sought-after creative genius. We recently received an 87% satisfaction rating in the latest National Student Survey, the highest ranking for any specialist arts university; in the Guardian 2019 League Tables we were ranked number one in the country in the Design & Crafts subject table; and at the Whatuni Awards we have won Best University Facilities twice in recent years (2014 and 2016) and came second in 2017 and 2018. If you enrol at Leeds Arts University to pursue a degree, master's degree, or further education course (after GCSEs or A levels), you'll find a welcoming and encouraging community. Our students adjust well and get off to the greatest possible start in their academic careers.
