We encourage a lifetime love of study as well as the habit of curiosity. We value interests in the arts, sciences, and sports. Because we value honesty and compassion, we respond to misbehaviour in the right way. We are accountable for our life. This implies acknowledging our errors and moving past them (and not blaming others for them). For a happy and peaceful life, we think it's important to have a sense of humour and to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. We think that learning a foreign language improves our lives and helps us learn more about other cultures. We value distinctions. We purposefully want a staff and student mix that reflects a variety of ethnic, social, and religious backgrounds for this reason. We promote an active engagement in media and current affairs, believing that it is a moral imperative to have an opinion on the events and decisions which shape our world. We acknowledge that everyone makes mistakes occasionally. We make an effort to keep lines of communication open so that there is always someone in the school willing to listen with an open mind. Every person in the Hampton Court House neighbourhood aspires to be truthful, courteous, kind, and generous. We think it's important to analyse our beliefs. We at Hampton Court House value the various racial and ethnic backgrounds of both our staff and students. We note of the Department for Education's (DfE) requirement "to create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs" and these values are at the heart of our school culture and curriculum.
