House Captains and Year 11 prefects are highly regarded and actively involved throughout the school.
We do, however, think that there are other students who can step up to the plate besides those in year 11: there is already a system in place for peer mentors from year 9 to support Year 7 students during their first year of school; literacy leaders assist younger students with their reading and writing; sports leaders supervise activities for elementary school students; and student year leaders conduct assemblies and plan charitable events.

To provide a smooth transition to Debenham High School, we work closely with our feeder elementary schools.
Year 7 students begin the school year in September with a solid understanding of the school and one another thanks to a thorough liaison programme that includes taster lessons, science change days, joint music events, and athletics festivals.
