A modest sixth form called DEC Sixth Form will grow starting in September 2020. We care about our pupils and those in our local community and believe passionately that they deserve a quality education in a safe and supportive sixth form setting that supports them in their studies as well as helping them to develop as adults. We will offer a wide range of subjects at the A-level and BTEC levels starting in September 2020 to provide our students the best chance to succeed in their coursework and achieve their desired pathway into further education or the workforce. We are adamant that staying on to study in our sixth form with professors who know them well, care for them, and provide an excellent education is best for our students. With chances for internships, community service, and peer mentoring, as well as an enrichment programme and involvement in The Duke of Edinburgh Award, we will provide our students with a solid foundation for life at university and beyond. At DEC, we are well aware of the necessity of adapting to change and keeping a close eye on the future, in which our students will unquestionably play a vital role. With this in mind we provide opportunities which will challenge them to develop strength of character, compassion, resilience and a self-belief which will enable them to overcome any obstacle which may come their way. We wish all of our prospective students the best of luck in their upcoming GCSE exams and we hope to meet you at one of our open events.
