The year 11 offer has been transformative for the life opportunities for our children. So grateful for the direction from the new leadership. Excited to see what's next!
I am a sixth-form student who has been at this school, since year 9. The Sixth Form team is mostly great and we get loads of freedom and independence which we all enjoy. Most of the teachers are great, especially in the maths, science and English departments. My Physics is teacher is one the loveliest people you will ever meet and he is one of the best teachers I have ever had. The SLT mostly...
Since the appointment of a Muslim headteacher, the school has created a prayer room and now is hosting Ramadan celebrations; given that the pupils are predominantly NOT Muslim, and they have never hosted any Easter celebrations, I don’t find this to be an inclusive establishment and I worry that the head is pushing her own cultural agenda. There are some exceptional teachers (Mr Butt, Miss Henry) but ultimately the leadership of the school is sadly...
My time at this school was terrible. There was a lot of bullying and the teachers would rarely intervene. The SEND department were condescending and at times never listened to what I wanted out of my education, thinking they knew best when they didn't. Teachers would also casually leak confidential information by reading out students' grades in the class, as well as their report cards such as how many behaviour points they have and whether...
Unfortunately this is not a school I would recommend to any parent looking for a good secondary school for their child. There are serious safeguarding issues that the school chooses to ignore, both by children and teachers, the quality of teaching is low and there is no engagement or support provided to children in years 9-11. There are no clear guidelines on disciplinary actions and behaviours, which means teachers act at will, with the students...
Really disappointing school. The school is more focused on uniform policies (which are not enforced consistently) than important topics such as quality of teaching and providing safe environment for children to learn. The senior leadership team does not effectively provide direction or take action to improve the school. Maths and science teaching need to be significantly improved. Science is an area that was also noted for improvement in the latest Ofsted report, and the school's...
Really disappointing school. The focus is more on inconsistently handing out minus points to students for minor things than focusing in the quality of the teaching and the students wellbeing. Serious issues are whitewashed and students feel unsupported . Some of the teachers conduct laves a lot to be desired.
