From the Brighton Girls GDST
Brighton Girls holds a significant place in the history of girls' education as a founding school of the Girls' Day School Trust. We are an all-through school in the centre of Brighton, and we are as eclectic, enterprising, and creative as the city itself, commanding equal levels of affection. The spirit of the early pioneers, whose names are remembered in our four Houses, Grey, Gurney, Lyttelton, and Stanley, is as strong as it has ever been. At Brighton Girls, creative instruction, redesigned learning environments, and a strong sense of social responsibility create an environment where girls can actually study without boundaries. Our girls are brave because they are aware of their personal capabilities; they are kind because they recognise the importance of community. Above all, we hope that they will gain the self-assurance and moral fortitude to set out and change the world for the better while realising that true influence only comes from the union of courage and kindness.
