From the Alderman White School
The 2011 Government Prevent Strategy outlined the notion of British Values. These guiding principles were reaffirmed in September 2014 as a result of recent occurrences. Numerous of these principles are expressly covered in our PSHE, Citizenship, and Humanities curricula. They are also fundamental to our SMSC programme throughout the school. In addition to our school's principles, "INSPIRE," all staff members at Alderman White School are accountable for recognising and communicating British Values to pupils through their regular interactions with them. The school encourages and makes clear to all children a comprehensive programme of assemblies on British/School Values. The entire school's curriculum has been mapped, and audits are currently being done to make sure all the components of British Values are addressed in a variety of subjects.
