Welcome to Wombwell Park Street Primary School from the Headteacher, Mrs. C Lawson.
Welcome to the website of Wombwell Park Street Primary School, on behalf of the faculty, students, and school governors.
The students at Wombwell Park Street Primary School are incredibly passionate, sociable, and hardworking.
Every day, we work to offer a secure environment for all kids while also attempting to engage and inspire them.
We achieve this through a rigorous curriculum and a wonderful learning environment that receives consistently favourable feedback from visitors.
Sports and the performing arts are highly valued, and the faculty works very hard to ensure that the main courses are taught thoroughly while being complemented by a curriculum that allows all students to succeed in some way.
We place a high importance on parental involvement and are now making great efforts to involve parents in the day-to-day operations of our school, such as through stay-and-play sessions, reading workshops, and our "Friends of Park Street" parent club.
This was in reaction to higher birth rates in the Wombwell region and an increase in the number of parents in our neighbourhood who wanted to send their kids to Park Street.
Our school has a six-year growth strategy, and by 2022, we expect to have 370 students enrolled in Nursery through Year 6!
I believe our school has an excellent mix of recently graduated or newly certified teachers and some very experienced, exceptional teachers, all of whom work arduously to provide the best educational opportunity for the children of Wombwell.
Park Street is going through a very exciting period!
