As the Headteacher of Woldgate School and Sixth Form College, I am dedicated to giving the young people in our care the finest education possible. Every day I am honoured to be a part of this school and to witness the many outstanding accomplishments of our students.
Our school is happy to serve the market town of Pocklington, the City of York, and the surrounding villages, offering each student with a great education and opportunities. Our school is situated on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Wolds.
The school Woldgate has a clear vision for education.
Based on common ideals, where each student is recognised and treated as a person, is how we define a great school.
We are a school that strives to cultivate its students' love of learning and pushes them to realise their full potential. Our students take pleasure in their accomplishments, and each one of them succeeds academically thanks to consistently excellent instruction.
This all-encompassing approach to education is, in my opinion, essential to a quality education and excellent preparation for the future.
For our academic achievements, the SSAT awarded Woldgate School with a "Outstanding Outcomes Award" in 2017 and 2019.
As we look to the future, I am steadfastly dedicated to making sure Woldgate School keeps growing with a distinct identity built on shared values and with each student being known and treated as a person.
Our commitment to provide the greatest spiritual and academic care possible for the kids in our care will match our culture of cooperation and success.
Please talk to our present parents, read our most recent Ofsted Report, download our Ofsted Parent View page, and, of course, visit our school.
We encourage applications from a wide range of geographic areas for both Year 7 (208 spots available) and Sixth Form (125 spots available), and we anticipate being completely filled in September.
So do come and take a look around, meet our amazing students and staff, and discover what makes this school so special.
I sincerely hope you will call Helen Walker and make plans to stop by the school.
If your child is considering attending our school in September, it would be my pleasure as headteacher to show you around.
