I'd like to extend a warm welcome to our website, which should give you a sense of how welcoming, joyful, and active our school is. We are fortunate to have a caring, committed staff; supportive parents and carers; and a skilled governing body who work in partnership to ensure the best outcomes for our pupils. Together, we support our kids' motivation to learn and pride in their accomplishments. We take pleasure in having high standards for everyone and everything we do. We aspire solely for the finest in terms of conduct and academic performance as we pursue excellence. At the same time, we have a strong track record of providing great care for students who are at risk or who have special needs, and we are really inclusive. The cornerstone of our ethos is pastoral care, which is robust. We were delighted therefore when our Ofsted inspection in 2014 graded us 'outstanding' in all categories: teaching and learning, quality of provision, behaviour, and leadership and management. Since then we have continued to work hard to maintain our high standards and to provide the best possible education for our children; we continually evaluate our curriculum to ensure that it is exciting, varied, challenging and accessible for all pupils. Visitors to the school often comment on the high standards of behaviour, calm and productive atmosphere and the approachable, friendly demeanour of the whole school community. It is, indeed, a supportive, cohesive community, where pupils and staff from a diverse range of backgrounds and faiths enjoy learning together in harmony. Observing the school in action and getting to know some of the staff and students is, of course, the greatest way to learn more about Wells Primary. I hope the information on our website will entice you to schedule a visit with us.
