The value contributed in last year's GCSE results, which will be reflected in a favourable Progress 8 score, is yet another testament to the dedication and hard work of both students and teachers.
Our outstanding GCSE results have earned us praise from the Department of Education on numerous times. Most recently, in February 2015, we were named one of the top 100 non-selective state-funded schools in England based on the Key Stage 2 Key Stage 4 value added measure.
The accomplishments of our driven students and committed staff fill us with great pride.
The Governors have high expectations for the institution, and we all desire to provide our pupils with the greatest possible Catholic education.
Along with having extremely high standards, we also have a great reputation for extracurricular activities including clubs and field excursions.
We want parents to know that even though our school is progressive, we uphold established standards and Catholic values.
Since we are a uniformed institution, we demand that all of our students exhibit intelligence, good manners, and behaviour.
The Sixth Form at St. Thomas More, an 11–19 institution, is booming.
In order to aid their progression to the top colleges, the majority of our students decide to continue their education here and remain on to study for A Levels.

St Thomas More Catholic School Reviews
1 (1 review)
The school rules are very ridgid. The teachers cannot handle a class and threaten children with ‘X’s’ which are strickes towards detentions week days and Saturdays. Respect is forced by fear. Teachers do not have time to build relationship with peers leaving the students feeling unheard and listened to. When a parent brings something to the schools attention the teachers are always defended and students not believed (there is always some truths in any allegation)...
