The Midnighters, one of the newest books we have in school, was written by children's author Hana Tooke, who spoke with KS2 today through video conference. The young audience heard a section of the story and was given sound guidance on how to write their own mystery story. We then conducted a Q&A session. We sincerely thank everyone who came out to the reading coffee morning for parents, grandparents, and carers of Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 students. The kids enjoyed reading to and sharing stories with you, and it was fantastic to see so many of you back at school. After they were fully dried, the fifth-graders meticulously painted their own ceramic works of art, which they had been developing in class. The kids developed their clay-moulding skills and used tools to stamp shapes and designs in the clay. The youngsters have produced some stunning bowls, coasters, and mugs despite the fact that it is clearly a difficult method.
