Our school motto is 'Ever to Excel' which is the English translation of the Ancient Greek phrase 'αἰὲν ἀριστεύειν' (aièn aristeúein) derived from the sixth book of Homer's Iliad. For our ethos, our students always give their best and endeavour to be the best version of themselves, whatever the situation. We develop this through practice - retrieval practice in the classroom, repeated drills and training in sports, music and the arts and continual encouragement of the highest standards of behaviour, from how pupils wear their uniform to how they talk to teachers and one another.

We are excited to share with you the work the school has been doing with the Department for Education and our contractors on the development of the new school site and buildings. The building is a three-storey superblock with a rooftop MUGA, 4G All-Weather Pitch, and our dedicated indoor sports facility. It will be ready in September 2025.
Underpinned by our Christian values, we offer an expertly delivered ‘traditional but contemporary’ curriculum. Our Christian values, such as compassion, respect, and integrity, are woven into the fabric of our school life and are reflected in our curriculum. We support all students in achieving their academic potential. Our curriculum meets the needs of all students, developing them intellectually, socially, culturally, spiritually, and morally.

The core subjects of English, mathematics, and science are focused on preparing every student for life beyond school, university, training, and employment.

The number of students getting the prestigious English Baccalaureate (between 5 and 9 good grade GCSEs including English, mathematics, science, geography or history and a language) is more than double the national average, with a high proportion of the Year 11 group achieving top grades. In Year 7, all students study English, mathematics, sciences, French, classics, Latin, religious studies, technology, history, geography, physical education, art, drama, and music.

St Andrew the Apostle Greek Orthodox School Reviews
3 (2 reviews)
A caring and nurturing school where my children are flourishing both academically and emotionally. They are happy, safe and well looked after in the school.
The quality of teaching is poor. Pupils are not given feed back on their assessments. The head who joined in January 2021 left in March 2022, the leadership is non existent. Safeguarding of pupils is below standard. Extra curricular activities are not really provided. Discipline is poor. Bullying and bad behaviour is a persistent feature. The school is not inclusive.
