At Northgate School, we recognise that a student's education is essential to their whole wellbeing, including their mental and emotional well-being. Within the hospital's premises is where the school is situated. It is a single-story structure that is located on the ground floor. Since there are just 3 classrooms here, the environment is tranquil, which helps students' wellbeing and recovery. The school is handicapped accessible and has no steps anywhere in it. To ensure the safety of our kids who take taxis, there is a short-stay drop-off spot for one vehicle right outside the school gate. In addition, there is a public pay-and-display parking lot, and parents and guests can park on the nearby roadways. Northgate School's small, specialised environment is ideal for helping and educating vulnerable pupils who might otherwise be at risk of failing in a bigger system. In order to re-engage pupils in the regular classroom, the work done at Northgate aids in the healing of teenagers who struggle with mental health issues. 28 pupils can be accommodated at Northgate. We want to foster a culture where taking chances, self-exploration, and learning are mutually reinforcing. Every day, we learn memorable lessons. At Northgate School, every student is accepted and included, and their opinions are respected. For all of our students, we have high standards that we continue to uphold in terms of their behaviour, academic performance, and path back to mental health.
