We appreciate your interest in our institution. Academy High School South Charnwood now accepts students from the ages of 11 to 16 regardless of ability. With 844 students now enrolled, it is a well-liked institution. The school is situated in twenty acres of open countryside and draws the vast majority of pupils from the nearby villages of Markfield, Thornton and Stanton-under-Bardon, as well as from Leicester Forest East. Given that it has educated several generations of many local families, South Charnwood might legitimately be referred to as a "family" school. Additionally, the school accepts a number of students from different regions, which, in our opinion, is proof of our positive reputation and the high regard in which the school is held. Learning for all is planned to be challenging and enjoyable and the school aims to ensure that pupils achieve the highest possible standard in all subjects. Pupils are also given many opportunities to develop a wide range of skills, insights and interests, to equip them fully for the next stage in their education. Our most recent Ofsted inspection took place in June 2019 and judged the school to be 'Good' whilst recognising that the quality of Teaching and Learning and Assessment and Outcomes for pupils were both 'Outstanding'. 2018/19 admittance number is 174. Please visit the School Admissions page on the Leicestershire County Council website for details on how to apply for a school spot. The materials for September 2019 admissions are down below for download. You are more than welcome to attend and learn more about us.
