From the Seven Mills Primary School
In the north of the Isle of Dogs lies a single-form entry, inclusive school called Seven Mills. Currently, there are 236 students enrolled in the school, but fortunately, there is room for 30 full-time nursery students. The bulk of our students reside within a short walking distance of the school and are from the varied and multicultural Barkantine Estate. This guarantees that we play a very active role in the community. As a school, we enjoy significant collaboration with the other schools on the Isle of Dogs as part of the Isle of Dogs Sschool Cluster and we are also part of the Tower Hamlets Education Partnership. This year sees a new school leadership team with current Assistant Headteacher, Amy Hughes, being joined by Tom Foster as Headteacher, Matthew Tranter as Deputy headteacher and SENCo and Jodie Taylor as the other Assistant Headteacher.
