From the Prospect House Specialist Support Primary School
Currently, I serve as the governors' chair at Prospect House School.
Lead Governor for Pupil Premium and Educational Quality is Emma Waddington.
Emma Waddington is my name, and I work as a teacher at Piper Hill Specialist School right now.
I have a strong commitment to ensuring that kids with special needs have access to a top-notch education and a variety of chances to advance their learning.
In April 2021, I departed Martenscroft in order to pursue my studies of yoga therapy for young individuals with trauma.
For the past six years, I have served as the headteacher of The Birches Specialist Support Primary School in South Manchester.
I've been at Grange School for more than ten years and feel privileged to work with such a wonderful group of students who ensure that every day is different and brings its own special rewards. I'm sure the same can be said of the kids at Prospect House, and I consider myself equally fortunate to have been given the chance to contribute as a Governor and work as a critical friend with Tracy, her staff, and the students.
As a governor, I bring a variety of experiences and a track record of accomplishment to the position, as well as a solution-focused mindset, a sense of humour, and the tenacity to stick with long-term ambitions and objectives.
I have two children and am a long-time cricket and football parent, so I understand the importance of maintaining a work-life balance to prevent the loss or deterioration of the qualities and traits I believe are crucial.
I am honoured to have been chosen to serve as a parent governor at Prospect House because my son is presently a student there.
As a Forensic Mental Health Nurse, I am currently employed at the Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust.
