At The Priory Belvoir Academy, we strive to preserve the best aspects of traditional educational ideals while staying on the cutting edge of teaching and learning advancements. The level of academic achievement achieved by pupils at Priory Belvoir has always been strong: progress from Year 7 through to Year 11 is particularly strong. We must remember that every child is an individual, and that each child will require a different approach to igniting a love of learning. As a result, the school is dedicated to giving our students a wide variety of experiences and possibilities, both within and beyond the classroom. The academy offers a wide-ranging curriculum taught by experts in their fields. There are also many out-of-school activities and clubs, a House system, and a well developed programme of trips and residential visits to places both within the UK and abroad. We place a strong value on acceptable standards of behaviour and respect for others, and there is a full school uniform. We are happy with the students at Priory Belvoir and feel that we are effective in this area. Personal growth of students is a crucial component of education. Both employees and students at the academy have a great feeling of pride. In this setting, students grow into confident individuals with strong senses of community and identity. As a parent, I feel I should address the problems me and my daughter have faced in this school. Girls are told there skirt is a safeguarding issue and that its distracting to the male staff I find this disgusting. Its also came to my attention that certain departments have bullied teachers into leaving the school as they have been oppressed for reasons following LGBTQ and other reasons such as simply not liking them. Additionally,...
As a concerned parent, I feel as though I should address the problems I have faced whilst my child has been apart of the school. Firstly, the schools main priority is how the girls wear their school uniform, my daughter has been told "you're skirt is a safeguarding issue and is distracting to the male teachers." I personally found this disgusting and unprofessional.
