The Pointer School

The beautiful Georgian buildings that house The Pointer School, as well as our students and faculty, are full with charm. Our fundamental identity as a Christian school guides everything we do, including our close ties to St. John's Church Blackheath. Our students stand out for their pleasant demeanour and assurance. Our students leave us at the end of Year 6 to enrol in some of the best Independent and Grammar Schools in the nation, despite the fact that we are not academically selective at the point of enrollment. Our small class sizes—never more than 20—allow us to provide each student with a personalised education so that the teacher can help them reach their full potential. Our school is obviously much more than just academics. Our robust music and theatre programmes are a direct result of our school's beginnings as a performing arts institution. We use our expansive sports fields at Hervey Road to engage in a variety of sporting events against nearby schools. We have more than 50 after-school groups, and in recent years, our chess programme has helped us move up to third-best school in the UK.
