Q:Why do families choose you over schools they compare you to?
A:

Q:What five facts about your school tell your story?
A:
We were founded in 1951 by Commander Henry Starkie, a former Schoolmaster who, following his service, wished to return to his passion of educating children.

We are part of the Education Development Trust, a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is transforming lives by improving education around the world.

Alumni have gone on to perform in international concerts, win skill-based television contests, play for national football teams and even race against Sir Lewis Hamilton.

We are good friends with our neighbour St Margaret's, a near 900 year old church and hold all our assemblies, services and concerts within its walls.

We welcome back may pupils, as parents who wish for their children to have as much fun at St. Andrew's as they themselves (and sometimes even their parents) had.

2024 and Beyond

We have a lot of exciting news to share and celebrate. We are pleased to announce that we have received an "Excellent" rating from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which is the highest possible rating. In addition, we have been ranked 29th in the Sunday Times Top 100 UK Prep Schools List 2024, won the “Best Education Environment” award at the Private School Awards 2023, and been shortlisted for the Independent Prep School of the Year at the Independent School of the Year Awards 2024.

Our SATs results this year have continued to exceed the national average. The majority of our pupils took the 11+ examinations for grammar school entry. Despite being a non-selective school, our pupils consistently transition to Medway and Kent Grammar Schools and also receive offers, including scholarships, from independent schools.
