The House Council of each House develops its own community engagement initiatives.
Each year, a panel that awards points to the House it believes has contributed the most to the community receives a presentation of the community work from each House.
Students in the school's Eco-Schools club take the lead on matters of sustainability in the building and the neighbourhood.
Through connection projects with other secondary and primary schools, students get to practise working with pupils of various ages.
Our students have the opportunity to interact with individuals from a variety of cultures and ages when they travel to and from the school for local, national, and international activities.
Our Key Stage 4 and 5 students actively participate in voluntary work through the Duke of Edinburgh and Applied Learning programmes.
The schools at Norton Hill and Somervale are collaborating with all the important local players to address alcohol abuse, consumption, and the associated antisocial behaviour.
We have finished a portion of the overall action plan, and we are still teaching the youth about the negative impacts of alcohol and how they may have an impact on their neighbourhood.
