From the Newport Primary School
Middlesbrough's Newport Primary School is close to the town centre and serves a diverse neighbourhood. Our school was constructed as a one-story structure in 1978. In 1984, a nursery was constructed, and in 2003, a children's centre with a playgroup space and community room was finished. The building's design is semi-open, featuring instructional spaces that are both open and enclosed. It currently has a Foundation Stage unit, 8 classrooms, a Head Teachers room, a Deputy Head Teachers room, a main school office, a staff room and a multi-functional hall. A learning support room was also constructed in 2012 and is available to us. There are hard paved play spaces as well as a sizable playing field on the school grounds. The neighborhood's daily-used all-weather pitch is also accessible. Next to the communal room, we also offer a wooden climbing area. The sports hall and Newport Hub, which are right next door, have tight ties to the school. In a shared Foundation Stage unit at Newport Primary School, there are about 280 full-time spots in 12 classes and 26 full-time nursery spots. There are two sessions per day for nursery students: morning and afternoon. There are 15 full time teaching staff, including the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher and 31 non-teaching and support staff who support your children academically, socially and emotionally to ensure positive future outcomes for them. The school is supported by an active Governing Body, which collaborates with the faculty, parents, and community members.
