Our school's motto is "We endeavour to be our best selves and treat others as we would like to be treated." at Marlborough Primary. To help our children become excellent citizens in contemporary British society, everyone collaborates to value and celebrate the variety of our society and to foster respect, tolerance, and understanding of everyone. Every everyone working with Marlborough Primary School in Washington wants to give every child the chance to develop the skills they will need for a great future. They are encouraged to approach their education with creativity, enthusiasm, and risk-taking. Relationships Elephant: I am able to learn from and work with others to achieve a common objective. I am able to think and speak about what I have learned and how I have learned it. Fox (Reflectiveness). Beaver (Resourcefulness) I am open to learning in a variety of methods. Monkey (Risk-taking) - I'm willing to try, even if that means there's a chance I won't succeed. I can persevere through things even when they get challenging (resilience). We think that praising kids when they exhibit any of the Building Learning Powers promotes these traits and forms the basis of all effective teaching methods. We can share our ethos and beliefs with those around us in a variety of ways. Children are the ones who need to know them the most. The best approach to educate them is to act in a way that exemplifies them. Every adult at Marlborough Primary School makes an effort to exhibit these traits and so provide an example for the kind of behaviour we want to see.
