From the Malton School
At Malton School we strive to enable children to develop their potential to the full and to grow into mature and confident young people who are prepared for the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities of adult life. To support this development Malton School offers a caring environment within which students can share in a wide range of academic, sporting, aesthetic, spiritual and social experiences. The pursuit of excellence is prioritised in every aspect of school life. Each student is encouraged to take responsibility for his/her own work and behaviour and to develop habits of self-reliance, self-discipline and consideration for others. Assembly, production, Celebration Evening, and Sports Day are some of the events that aid in fostering a sense of dedication and shared values. Through participation in Year and School Councils, students are provided chances to practise responsibility. They are urged to grow in understanding and respect for other people's ideals and beliefs. Our goal is to provide the Ryedale Community with a quality education, and we have high expectations for both ourselves and our students in order to achieve this. Malton School is a school with a long history of valuing the uniqueness of each student and having high academic expectations. We want to continue and expand that legacy. It is always acknowledged that there must be a collaboration between the family and the school and that each student needs experiences that are specifically customised to them. The only way for a student to fully benefit from their education is for parents and professionals to collaborate closely.

Malton School Ratings & Reviews
2.5 (2 reviews)
I would have rated this a 5 star if the west wing and east wing was not half way down the street and they only have have minutes to actually leave their classroom and get their things and if their upstairs they have to go down the stairs out through the entrance/exit and then they have to travel past houses and that takes a long time and they have to get into their next lesson...
Bullying is very common and pastoral staff make promises they do not keep about sorting the problem. Uniform is very expensive as all items are badged with the school crest against recommendation from government. They do not publish Governors minutes online so little accountability.
