The Low Moor Church of England Voluntary Controlled Primary School is one of the educational institutions run by the Diocese of Leeds.
We are a coeducational, two-form entrance school serving students from 4 to 11 years old.
Our Year 6 students are invited to apply for positions as Digital Leaders, undertaking a variety of tasks to help younger students use computers safely.
The Low Moor curriculum offers a wide range of chances for cross-curricular connections and outdoor educational activities.
Our school stands out for its dedication to Christian worship and ideals, which include respect for individuals of all faiths, in addition to the great education it offers.
We are always very proud of the effort, talent, and teamwork our students display when they are representing our school in sporting events and competitions with nearby schools.
Our main hall is obviously adorned with our quite amazing collection of awards.
Children are encouraged to assume leadership roles at school, such as that of Playground Heroes, Reading and Worship Leaders, or School Council members.
Every Friday morning, the entire school gathers for worship to recognise the outstanding accomplishments of all of our students, including our "Stars of the Week."
One student from each year group receives our incredibly coveted "Ambassador Award" each half-term.
This noteworthy accomplishment is given for exhibiting one of the "Fruits of the Spirit," which are mentioned in Galatians 5:22–23.
A distinctive badge that is sewed onto the left sleeve of their school jumper serves as our Ambassadors' identification.
Our governors, employees, and students are very pleased of the accolades and certifications we have received, including the Investors in Pupils, Healthy Schools, Drug Charter, and Basic Skills Awards, as well as a "excellent" rating from SIAMS and Ofsted (January 2012). (February 2017).
Our school's motto, "Aiming for Excellence," perfectly captures the aspirations and dedication of the whole school community.
