We think that the Academy is in an incredibly exciting stage of growth and cordially encourage you to plan a visit to observe us in action. Founded with the vision of the 'love I bear learning', we realise Dame Joyce Frankland's original purpose, set in 1588, through our values. We also acknowledge her broader vision, which was that all community members would prosper if students and staff were "decent citizens of the Common Wealth." Independence the capacity to take initiative, be robust, and be self-reliant. Insight the capacity to see beyond the obvious and to show empathy for and understanding of other people. In our lessons and our extensive co-curricular opportunities, we aim to foster a culture of exploration where students are inspired and challenged to search for deeper understanding to achieve excellence in all aspects of their school experience. We also understand that in order to reach our objectives, we must foster a community in which each Academy member serves as an example of cooperation, support, and high standards. Our pastoral system is built to make sure that every student has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed in school and in life.
