We take great pride in helping the Mowbray Education Trust provide many youngsters in Melton Mowbray with the best possible life prospects. Being the Head of John Ferneley College is an amazing honour. Our main goal is to help everyone who enters the building, ensuring their pleasure and future success. Children first is a concept that all of John Ferneley embrace, and I really feel that everyone working there embodies this. At John Ferneley College, we want every student to succeed to the best of their abilities, regardless of ability or need. I think there are some essential components—a solid transition process, an excellent pastoral system, excellent teaching and learning, and a standout enrichment offer—that must be there for students to be successful. I'm happy to report that we have been ranked in the top 9% of schools nationwide for student growth across all abilities as a result of all of these things being in place.
