In order to prepare its students for the world they will inhabit after leaving our loving atmosphere, HawleyHurst aims to give them the skills and education necessary.
We want to make sure that all students are capable of displaying the adaptability and resilience required in a society where creativity and innovation are the most cherished attributes, even when the pursuit of academic results alone can produce young people who are highly competent.
To be clear, we expect our young people to work hard in school and achieve the best academic results they are capable of, but we also encourage them to take advantage of the broadest possible range of educational opportunities that will foster their inquisitiveness, inspire their creativity, help them recognise their uniqueness, and help them appreciate the benefits of working in a team.
A HawleyHurst student will, in essence, be a well-rounded, considerate individual.
The next thirty years will be characterised by a return to creativity that is motivated by nature, according to HawleyHurst, which places an emphasis on the study of the natural world.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project, both in Cornwall, are among the interests of the family that owns the school.
