Through our excellent connections and collaborative ties with a variety of support agencies, such as Islington's Disabled Children's Team, the Family Support Workers at Centre 404, and the Family Action team, we also provide appropriate referrals.
The primary site's Parent Support Group was established to serve as a reliable and strong relationship between staff and parents.
The purpose of this group is to provide a warm, accepting atmosphere where parents can talk about any worries or challenges they may have outside of school.
All parents, not just those with kids in elementary school, are welcome to attend the parent group meetings held at the primary location.
This organisation holds sessions on topics related to children's education that have been requested by parents.
Additionally, they take excursions to locations like the London Eye, Hyde Park, and Covent Garden and spend time in class creating jewellery, painting glass, and creating bags.
The Parent Group gives parents the confidence to advance with their own learning by encouraging them to build their own talents.
The parent group at the secondary site gathers six times a year to discuss a range of issues, including how to use clubs, after-school programmes, and direct payments; how to deal with communication issues and how to get past them; sex education; how to use behaviour as a form of communication; how to form and keep friendships; and Makaton and PECS.
Parents who wish to attend the secondary school's Parents Group can email [email protected].
Six times a year, sixth form parents gather separately to discuss transition and planning for life after school.
All primary and secondary parents are welcome to attend the Parents Group meetings, which are held at the Hungerford location.
