School Info

Hull Trinity House Academy is a Secondary, Co-Ed school located in East Riding of Yorkshire County, Yorkshire and The Humber.

It has 699 students from age 11-16 yr with a student-teacher ratio of 19 : 1.

From the School
Only 36 students were enrolled when "Hull Trinity House Marine School" first began on February 2nd, 1787, with Revd.
Although there was no curriculum, there is no question that navigation and mathematics were the two main courses.
The initial 36 boys to enrol in the institution are largely unknown, although we do know that only three of them failed the course.
The following dress codes have been implemented as a result of recent uniform revisions.
A "Founders' Day," also known as "Dinner Day," was created by the Trinity House Board a year after the school's founding.
Each youngster receives two oranges from a basket behind him after the meal, which is a distinctive aspect of the evening.
In the twenty-first century, Trinity House School continues to uphold the traditions established by their ancestors, including the ringing of the bell, the three Sunday Services held in Holy Trinity Church each year, the yearly prize giving ceremonies, and the annual sports gala.
After receiving specialist school status in 2008, we changed to an academy in April 2012 while keeping our ties to Hull Trinity House.
