The west side of Enfield is served by the successful mixed comprehensive school known as Highlands School.
The school is well-liked and takes pride in serving the neighbourhood; more than 1500 students have expressed interest in entering year 7 in 2018.
With approximately 200 pupils beginning year 12 in 2018, both from Highlands and from other secondary schools in north London, the sixth form is also thriving.
Students at Highlands exceed students nationwide in terms of attainment and advancement, and the school has twice received the OFSTED designation of "Outstanding."
Our values—determination, aspiration, respect, and equality—are the foundation of our success (DARE).
Highlands does not, however, solely focus on academic performance; we also encourage extracurricular activities, sports, and the performing arts.
Through the promotion of initiatives like the Duke of Edinburgh Award and our amazing selection of out-of-school visits, which have recently included journeys to Zambia, Barcelona, New York, and skiing, we also enhance learning and increase aspirations outside the school context.
We are a welcoming school.
