1939 When the Second World War begins, the government seizes control of most school buildings. Most of the employees and students at Highgate are evacuated to Westward Ho! in Devon. In hotels and boarding houses that have been converted for this usage, the boys live and attend school. Along with our House Music Competition and Expeditions, a Jewish Circle is established.
